Infinity Ward is back but none of the original engineers are. The gaming industry has run out of original ideas. Asha needs to hurry up and fire everyone so she has no one left. We need a new console or a new controller or something to give developers something new to work with. Maybe AI slop sucks now but maybe it gets good enough indie devs can make games that are fun to play because that seems to be where all the original content is these days.
Graphics really did kinda peak in the 360 era. Now it's just lighting, which so many games just make things look "wet" nowaday, and the sheer volume of objects.
