Automobilista 2 — Old, Unfinished Junk

Let me save you some time: Automobilista 2 is junk. Straight up. This game has been out since 2020 and it still feels like an unfinished early access title that Reiza Studios just kept slapping DLC onto instead of actually completing.

Half the Cars Are Unusable

Half the car roster might as well not exist. They're broken, poorly modeled, or so half-baked that you need mods from the community just to make the game feel like a finished product. Let that sink in — you need third-party modders to do what the developers should've done themselves. That's inexcusable.

Settings Simulator

This isn't a racing simulator — it's a goddamn settings simulator. The UI is absolute crap. Saving wheel and pedal settings? Good luck. Every single update, I have to reset every control because the game refuses to recognize my wheel base until I nuke everything and start from scratch. Every. Single. Time. Who designed this garbage?

AI Is Trash

The AI is brain-dead. They don't race you — they race a predetermined line and you just happen to be in their way. There's zero intelligence, zero adaptation. It's like racing against bots from 2005.

Online? Don't Bother

And if you think going online will save the experience — LOL. You can't make it out of turn one without some clown wrecking you. The multiplayer is a demolition derby with zero accountability.

But Hey, Maybe You'll Love It

Look, just because I think this game belongs in a dumpster fire doesn't mean you won't have the time of your life. Maybe you enjoy sitting in the pits for forty-five minutes while your buddy resets his wheel settings for the eighth goddamn time because y'all picked a new modded car and he can't get the thing to drive straight. Maybe that's your idea of a Friday night. Who am I to judge?

Some of y'all genuinely enjoy the punishment. You like spending three hours tweaking force feedback curves and dead zones just to get a car that still understeers into a wall at turn two. You find joy in downloading community mods to fix what the developers couldn't be bothered to finish. You think "well at least the rain looks nice" is worth sixty bucks plus a mountain of DLC.

And you know what? God bless you. Somebody's gotta keep Reiza's lights on while the rest of us are actually racing in sims that work out of the box. Haha JK, Just don't invite me to your lobby — I ain't got the patience to watch you reset your controls again while I stare at pit lane like it's a damn screensaver.

The Verdict

Automobilista 2 is an old, unfinished mess that hides behind a mountain of DLC while the core product rots. The UI is trash, the AI is trash, the online experience is trash, and you'll spend more time fighting settings than actually racing. Save your money.
